Not having a blueprint

You can build your vision for your team or your career. But you have to hold on to that vision, even if no one else does.

You can have more ease in your work. But you have to give up the ways you have always done things.

Quite often, growth requires you to give up whatever got you to that stage in the first place.

Which means you do not start out with a blueprint to show you the way.

It can be incredibly helpful to have the support of someone as you take that next step in your career.

Find someone who can be a sounding board: a mentor or someone who has walked that same path.

Or find someone who will witness your journey and prepare you to meet the challenges it brings.

My point is that you do not have to do it all on your own.
