Exiting the mid-career rut: Transforming from a 'Doer' into a 'Leader'

"I don't want to be stuck in workhorse mode!"
A client who is preparing for promotion recently shared that admission with me in dismay.
She had come to realise that being seen as the workhorse was the very thing that would get in the way of her landing the senior leadership role that she coveted.
It might sound counterintuitive, but you cannot work your way out of the mid-career rut.
The step up required of you here is to transform from being a ‘doer’ into a ‘leader’.
The doing is what got you here, and you might excel at it, but it won’t necessarily get you to your next level.
Which is why many of you might find that doing everything that was expected of you doesn't bring you the results you want.
I hear this so often in my coaching conversations.
In other words, you also need to change these three things immediately:
Stop relying on your previous track record and proven capabilities
Stop doing things the same way you have always done them
Let go of unhealthy ways of working that currently disempower both you and your team
That level of transformation will allow you to hold the expanded responsibility that comes with a more senior role.
And because this is not easy to do by yourself, it will be the main focus of our work together in Power Pose, my six month group coaching programme for women who want to escape the mid-career stagnation and achieve a promotion to a more senior role in their organisation.
Are you in?
If it's a yes, then I would love to support you. Let's have a chat.
