Leadership Concepts: Managing Up

Oct 12
1 min read

Ever felt like you were not able to fully show up from a place of power in your relationship with your manager or team leader?

Then managing up might be the skill that you need to learn.

It is often an underdeveloped skill that more women working in majority male industries should lean into, in my opinion, as this only serves to amplify their impact and contribution to their teams, leading to the end outcome of greater success in your career, which you no doubt want to enjoy.

Ahead of Thursday's online masterclass on the topic, I am sharing this video which highlights the disempowered ways to manage up that I often come across in my coaching conversations.

Neither of those approaches will have you showing up as an equal in your relationship with your manager.

But there are ways to manage up well.

Finally, if you lead a team of people, then it becomes all the more important for you to model and impart this skill to your direct reports in order to get the best from your work together.

You can sign up for my masterclass using the links below, and also invite any friends and colleagues who will benefit from attending.

A recording will be available for 48 hours if you cannot join us live.

I hope to see you there!
