The mid-career rut is real

There are many names given to the stagnation that women experience in mid-career: ‘mid-career crisis’, ‘mid-career plateau’, ‘the broken rung’, or ‘the frozen middle'.

Firstly, what kind of stagnation am I talking about?

This is where women’s careers stop progressing after a certain point and they struggle to scale the career ladder no matter how hard they try.

The very qualities that they are known for - being reliable, getting things and ticking all the right boxes - no longer open doors for their advancement.

Most women I speak to never see this coming or expect to experience this phenomenon.

So the mid-career rut can feel very frustrating and disappointing when you suddenly realise that you’re in it.

After all, no one has been saying anything or doing anything to indicate where you might be falling short of expectations.

This is why I created Power Pose.

The career rut might arise as a result of the status quo typical to majority male industries, and be shaped by the pressures of society's expectations on women.

But I wanted this programme to empower women like you to rise above that dynamic and find your own agency to take control your career.

After all, there are women (with and without young families) who have transcended those obstacles, often going on to achieve successful, lucrative careers as senior leaders and executives.

And if you are determined enough to join their ranks, I am confident that this programme will help you get there because Power Pose equips you with the tools and a clear roadmap you need to exit this dynamic.

So will you choose to rise above the mid-career rut this year?

If your answer is yes, then I invite you to join me on the programme by booking a call with me here.
